The Oscars of Health IT, as my boss likes to call it, is less than a week away. I personally believe that HIMSS is more like the Golden Globes; you actually get to party while working and networking with your peers, rather than be suffocated by the air of formality which seems prevalent at the Oscars. Anyway, I digress.
This year’s HIMSS is expected to be bigger and better than any health conference yet. The Who’s Who of US Healthcare will be there, so you won’t want to miss it.
CureMD will be at Booth # 6645. As always, you will get a sneak peek into some of our latest innovations to help medical practices stay ahead in this competitive healthcare environment.
Also, if the penalties in 2015, the ICD-10 transition, the shift from volume to value based care and the elusive world of interoperability are overwhelming you; CureMD’s booth is the place to be. Our expert panel will guide you in developing a roadmap for 2015 and beyond.
Why physicians shouldn’t miss HIMSS Conference 2015?
HIMSS Conference 2015 is an opportunity to interact with other healthcare professionals. Linda Stotsky, #HIMSS15 Social Media Ambassador, gave CureMD some compelling reasons for physicians to attend the Conference.
- Connect: This is the best networking opportunity – meet up, reach out to vendors, ask questions and connect with who’s who of the industry.
- Learn: Physicians should come out of their comfort zone to explore and learn more about health IT matters and their impact on patients. Learn why it’s important to share data, and how you can do it with the least disruption to workflow and process. You can also find out ways to improve CDS, Meaningful Use, and value-based reporting.
- Stay connected: Bring your business cards with you, so you can stay in touch with the people you connected with in this Conference.
A highlight of the Conference will be the speech by Dr. Karen DeSalvo, the Acting Assistant Secretary for Health in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Her area of focus is ‘interoperability, Meaningful use and improving access to affordable, high quality care for all people’. She will speak on April 16th at 8:30 am CDT. The proposed rule for Meaningful Use stage 3 has been recently published; this would be a good opportunity to find answers for your concerns, if any.
