Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) have announced a new date for Meaningful Use attestation deadline.
Eligible professionals (EPs), participating in the Medicare incentive program (only), now have time till March 20, 2015 to attest for Meaningful Use rather than the previous deadline of February 28, 2015.
This relaxation is intended to bring relief to physicians by giving them extra time to submit their Meaningful Use data. However, CMS has urged practitioners to take advantage of the extra time and begin attesting as soon as they can.
How to Attest
Submit your data to the Registration and Attestation System, which includes 2014 Certified EHR Technology (CEHRT) Flexibility Rule options.
Tips for speed:
- Attest during non-peak hours, such as evenings and weekends
